IFC Launches Program to Increase Access to Education in Uganda

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, today launched the Africa Schools Uganda Program to support improvements to private secondary and tertiary schools in Uganda, while helping thousands of students in the country access high-quality education. The Program works in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB).

KCB Donates Kshs. 1 Million towards Preservation of the Lamu Sea Front

The National Museums of Kenya (NMK) today received KShs1 million from KCB Foundation in support of its project to pave the Lamu Seafront Promenade.

Chevron to Acquire Deepwater Interest Offshore Liberia - Entry expands Chevron’s presence in West Africa in a promising new geological trend

EABL Posts Impressive 12.5 Billion In Pre Tax Profits

East African Breweries Limited (EABL) today announced its pre tax profits for the financial year ended 30th June 2010 of KShs 12.5 billion, a 10 percent increase over the previous year’s KShs 11.5 billion.The net turnover went up 10 per cent to Kshs 37.9 billion compared to Kshs 34.4 billion in 2008-2009 financial year.
